34 weeks side
We'll it's been two weeks....lots to update. First we forgot to take a picture last week and kept saying we were going to do it, then by the time we knew it we were at 34 weeks.
UPDATE: We had a Dr's appointment the week before last. Cami is weighing 4lbs 10oz. With my gestational diabetes under control she is in the normal percentile range now for growth. She was 70%, now she is 54% so she won't end up being a 12 lb baby!
The other news we received at our appointment is that I will have to have a c-section to deliver. Throughout my pregnancy I have had a cyst (follicle) that the Dr's kept saying would go away as my pregnancy went on....well it hasn't. A few weeks ago the cyst was 7cm x 10cm, at my last appointment it was 7cm x 12cm so it grew 2 cm in 3 weeks. It is NO harm to Cami, she basically thinks it's a beach ball in there for her to bounce against every so often. Now for me it can be uncomfortable if it grows larger and begins to turn or twist. At that point I would be in terrible pain and have to go to the hospital immediately and possibly deliver. Let's all hope and pray that we do not encounter this situation and we end up delivering at 39 weeks like the Dr wants to. The Doctor had me cut down on my hours at work, ordered bed rest and would like no twisting or turning movements....nothing that could cause stress/pressure or potential rupture of the cyst.
Our next appointment is Monday. At 10am we've got an ultra sound to see Cami and measure the cyst, 10:30am stress test to make sure she is moving enough (I have marginal cord insertion they have been keeping an eye on.....basically the cord is not centered in the placenta, where it is located there is potential she could not be receiving everything she needs through the cord) and at 11:00am check up with the Dr to go over the ultrasound and stress test.
Cami & I are certainly living up to the title on my chart "High Risk Pregnancy"
SO....we will have a c-section and while they have me open, they will also remove the cyst and we will not have to worry any more about it....bye bye cyst!
Last Friday Mom and I went and interviewed a pediatrician at a highly recommended practice here in town called Iron Horse. My mother being a nurse I thought she was the most appropriate person to bring, and she didn't fail me. Her interview was more like an interrogation. It was great though because Mom knew questions to ask that I would have no clue to do. Way to go Granny :) We are going to go with the Dr we interviewed, I am sure she'll ask me to never bring my mother back to the office ever again. lol
I think that is our update....until next week !

I don't know about you but I'm getting SUPER excited for Cami to be here! Keep me updated on your appt today! (-:
