8 months, 32 weeks!

 32 weeks front

32 weeks side

This past week has been a bit rough and uncomfortable for me.  Last Sunday I spent a great deal of time on the couch on my side.  I had braxton hicks contractions on and off all day Saturday and Sunday but Sunday was worse.  The contractions had no consistency or increasing of intensity, but they were at times a bit uncomfortable making me close my eyes and have to practice deep breathing.

Monday I woke up with back pain, which in turn caused me to develop the pregnancy waddle.  I worked half day at the office and the other half home laying down on my left side with a ton of pillows.  On Tuesday my wonderful co-workers hijacked a couch from the lobby of our building and put it in my office.  Several times this week it has come in handy to lay down for 10-15minutes to rest.

Monday evening we had our first prepared childbirth class, and Tuesday we had our final breast feeding class.  We have 3 more prepared childbirth classes, and 1 infant CPR class to attend.  Hopefully Cami holds off until we are finished our classes :)

This coming Tuesday is going to be very busy, so busy I had to take a day off of work because I would pretty much be out of the office all day.  At 11am we have our pre-admission meeting at the hospital, 3pm a growth ultrasound to see how big and what position Cami is in (3 weeks ago she was 3lbs 10oz, we're guessing around 5 lbs?).  Then at 3:30pm we have a follow up appointment with our Dr to review the ultrasound and how I am doing.  All in all a very busy and exciting day for Jason and I.

A long time fellow weightlifting friend of mine, Missy Devine (Saucedo), sent me a shirt in the mail last week (I will have to take a picture in it). It is pink and on the front says "We're Hungry." How very appropriate! I want to eat everything of anything but am still having to make sure I manage what I eat because of the gestational diabetes. My Dr and dietitian are happy with my meal plans and sugar numbers so we are on the right track and Cami won't be a 12 lb baby.

I am still experiencing a TON of movement, day and night.  I am sure this is just a glimpse of what we are in store for here in a few weeks when Cami decides to make her grand entrance. I have a feeling Jason and I are going to get the child both our mothers are wishing for....one that was just like us when we were kids.

Sorry to the ladies at the bank, no growth measurement until after my baby shower because I think that is going to be a game played :)
