It's been 10 long weeks since I have last posted an update. We have made it successfully through our first trimester with no problems. I was very tired and picky about what I ate (this is still something I am struggling with). I have not had chicken in nearly 3 months, just the thought of it makes me gag!
There were a few days that I felt in a fog and just wanted to lay down and sleep. Around 14 weeks I began to feel human again and now at 16 weeks I am back to my old self running around and unable to sit still. When I do finally sit down I crash hard!
My only other complaint is the growing pains I am experiencing. My sides, lower back and pelvic area ache like I had a hard workout. When I sneeze is the worse! (I pray I don't get a cold).
Now, the exciting stuff....we've had ultra sounds at 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 14 weeks. At 14 weeks we found out the gender. IT'S A GIRL! Her name will be Camille Marie Gump. Jason and I originally had another name picked out but decided that it was becoming to trendy and there would be 4 of the same little girls in kindergarten with the same name. We began going through baby name websites and Jason loved the nic name Cami, so we looked up nic names for Cami and it came up with Camille or Camilla. It was an easy pick for us to decide between the two. The middle name was a no brainer. My grandmother, sister, and 2nd cousin, and Jason's grandmother all have the middle name Marie. It wouldn't make sense to have any other name, so Marie it is!
My friend Leza let me borrow her at home Doppler so I can listen to the babies heart beat whenever I am feeling anxious and worried. The first heart beat we heard was at 13 weeks, my mom was actually the one to find it. At 13 weeks I probably listened to the heart beat multiple times a day because I was having such a hard time believing I had a little life growing inside me. Jason and I listen to the heart beat together usually once a week, every time we heart that little thump thump pitter patter it makes us smile.
I am going to post photos from 10 weeks to 16 weeks of my slowly growing and changing belly.
I'm so happy for y'all. I can't wait to meet sweet Camille. Peighton will have a new playmate. I love your weekly pictures. Such a cute small belly. The aches and pains are horrible and only get worse but when people say you'll forget all about it they right, you do!! We need to get together soon. I have lots of cute stuff to share :)
