A little excitement for us today....
I had my weekly cyst check and growth ultrasound at 9am this morning. Cami is 7lbs 9oz (give or take a few oz)...still doing practice breathing, and had the hiccups again for us to laugh at. There is plenty of amniotic fluid but not much where her head is, she's even lower than last week, I couldn't believe how low the ultrasound wand had to go !
I shared with the ultra sound tech some stuff that has been going on the last two days (won't give details, don't like to give TMI especially when it comes to bodily stuff....) and asked if I could quickly speak to the Dr. or her assistant. She consulted the Dr. and they decided it was best to send us to the birthing center (AGAIN).
They performed 3 tests to check and see if my water broke and if I was leaking fluid.....water did not break, but I am losing my mucus plug (which has been going on for 2 days now). I also had a good amount of contractions, some super strong and some weak but nothing that started to build up or become consistent. The other concern was my blood sugar was low (44) so they were monitoring me until my sugars went up to make sure Cami and I were both okay, when we checked out I was up to 90 and used it as a good excuse to stop and pick up some Chick-Fil-A for lunch.
I'm 65% effaced and 1cm dilated and babies head is low. BUT, that doesn't really mean anything because you can be 4 cm dilated and 75% effaced for weeks and nothing will happen, or be 1 cm dilated and 30% effaced and give birth a few hours later. We all know that every woman and every pregnancy is different so I just might make it until Friday OR I could make it until dinner time this evening.
