Wow, I am LATE this week posting pictures!
Downfall: Diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes...at first I was upset, but now it is not so much of a big deal. I am working with an incredibly wonderful (not to mention smart and intelligent) Registered Dietitian who I worked very closely with from 2006/2007 on through the 2008 Olympic Games. I am surrounded by an incredibly knowledgeable support system when it comes to Diabetes, so I am not super concerned.
I started Friday evening following meal plans that are diabetic friendly and honestly I already feel a difference. I have to eat TON more food, but it is much cleaner and less fattening. (Good bye cheesy bread....). Being an athlete for so long and having a restricted diet it was easy once I was done training to 'fall off the wagon' but this is just another reality check of "HEY YOU NEED TO BE HEALTHY INSIDE AND OUT!"
Milestone: Jason and I put together the cradle below today...my Uncle Paul Gordon made this cradle for my sister Jennifer in 1975....in 1983 my parents used it for me and 28 years later it will be used for his great niece. Thank you and love you Uncle Paul !!
