Last week we were suppose to do a tour of Penrose St. Francis Hospital where Cami will be born, but Jason came down sick Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning. He ended up having bronchitis so we decided it would be best to cancel the tour and schedule for another time. Jason is doing much better this week so we decided that we would try to schedule a tour again.

Granny K and Pops joined us on the tour, they were very excited and shocked at how great Penrose St Francis is. The maternity floor is locked down 24 hours a day and mom and baby have electronic bracelets. If the baby is moved near a window, door, or elevator the entire hospital automatically goes on lock down until the baby is found. Security is no issue!
Entrance to the Labor & Delivery Birth Center. This is where you go to check in.
This is a part of the birthing room, you can guess what goes on here...shortly after leaving this room I began to feel a little funny and my ears started ringing, my legs felt wobbly too. I was standing holding Jasons hand and remember looking straight a head and my mom was standing there listening to the nurse talk about all the other wonder amenities the hospital has....I said mom....mom....she looked over at me and immediately grabbed my arm before I went falling down. I think its funny how I was standing hold my husbands hand and couldn't remember his name but the one name I did remember was mom! Mom, Jason and a nurse brought me to a room to sit down for a few minutes. After thinking about it I guess I was more anxious about the birthing process than I initially thought.
I am enjoying the pregnancy, enjoying the thought of being a mom and having a child. The one thing I am not looking forward to is the birthing process, this partially being because we are not 100% sure yet if I am going to deliver naturally or have to have a c-section. It's funny because I have always been strong in my faith, but when it comes down to it I freak out and get anxious over certain situation. I've got to once again learn that I am not in control and am just here for the ride :)
The last stop on the tour was the nursery, there was only one baby in the nursery. Most moms opt to have their baby in their room with them the entire time, so surprisingly there is not often to many babies in the nursery.
We attended another pregnancy class on Monday about premature labor. It was very informative, but still freaked me out a bit since we have a few more weeks until we are "in the clear." We have three more classes left, Baby Care (2 classes), another one that is 4 weeks long and goes over EVERYTHING baby and finally a CPR class. I think everyone should take these classes because you learn so much and they are well worth the money spent!
On Wednesday we had a Dr's appointment, all is going well and no concerns from the Dr., the next appointment will be in 4 weeks. I should be HUGE by then.
Milestone: TONS of movement from Cami this week, it feels like I have a Zumba class going on in my belly!
Downside: Swelling feet and hands. I'm going to look like I have the hands and feet of a 500 lb woman if this continues!

Riss, thanks for keeping us updated and a little laugh here and there! You'll do fine throughout your pregnancy and delivery, it's all worth it! Love you!
