Getting pregnant is something that people don't ever think they will have a hard time with. I always had this feeling that I would not be one of those people. I had a feeling I was going to have to work for this, just like everything else I have faced in my life. Nothing ever comes easy. I am a true believer that there is a reason for everything, we may not know why things happen at the moment, or years to come, but there is a reason. God has a plan and I have to believe in him. Have patience, have faith.....if only it were that easy.
My husband and I married June of 2006 and started our journey to conceiving August of 2008. We had treated getting pregnant as it will happen when it is meant to happen. I conceived July 16, 2009 and miscarried several weeks later. I had a D&C on September 25, 2009 and will never forget that day. Other than losing my sister knowing I lost my first child is one of the worst things I have dealt with in my life.
You know when something happens to you and you feel like you are the only person in the world??? That is how I felt, but the more I talked with other women the more I found out that there were many other women around me who have lost a child through a miscarriage. It took time to heal, some counseling and a lot of tears. Over a year later I can say that I will always remember my first pregnancy experience and know it will happen again.
Even through that time of grief I knew that I still wanted a family and we would try again. It took a few months to be ready to officially try again. After a lot of blood work, and a lot of tears we are now on the course to conceiving a baby gump. :)
Flood of emotions! Ugh I'm so happy for y'all. We are counting down the days. :)
